NRCS

North Carolina & South Carolina

Since 2009, LDSI has been providing Easement Boundary mapping for NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service), North Carolina.   NRCS is an agency of USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) that provide technical assistance to farmers and private landowners & managers.  Most of the surveys we have provided have been conservation easements for WRP (Wetlands Restoration and Protection Projects).  Some of our favorite projects.  What surveyor doesn’t like working on large boundary projects in farm or woodlands locations.  The large farms are being reclaimed as wetlands.  We also provided a re-survey of an NRCS GRP (Grassland Reserve Program) in Virginia.  While challenging, these are very satisfying.  The wildlife has been one of the most challenging.  We have seen deer, bears, alligators and snakes, lots of snakes.  We probably encountered over 200 water moccasins on a single site.  We currently hold and IDIQ contract for both North & South Carolina for NRCS Boundary Surveys.
